About Collegiate School

Founded in 1628, Collegiate School is an independent K-12 boys' school located on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. Led by Head of School Bodie Brizendine, Collegiate prides itself on its close-knit community, housing 666 students in a single building. With a student/teacher ratio of 6:1 and over 76% of faculty holding advanced degrees, the school emphasizes personalized and engaging teaching. The state-of-the-art facility at 301 Freedom Place South, designed by STUDIOS Architecture and KPF, includes modern classrooms, a 40,000-book library, gymnasiums, theaters, and flexible learning spaces known as the Nucleus. Collegiate School, with its high-traffic, single-building facility, faced the challenge of maintaining top-notch cleanliness standards across various spaces. The new, dynamic campus, featuring nine floors and two cellars, required meticulous cleaning to uphold the school's commitment to a safe and healthy environment.
